The Mitel 5230 IP Phone builds
on the company's market leadership at the IP desktop to seamlessly blend the
wired and wireless world for the user. With the 5230 IP Phone users now have
the ability to dock their HP iPAQ directly into the phone. This provides
immediate hot synch capabilities and allows users to have location
transparency within the network. Users can associate any workstation as
their own, as once the PDA is docked all user preferences are transferred to
that workstation. In addition users can also benefit from new Windows
CE-based desktop applications such as portable voice mail and dial by
address book.
The 5230 IP Phone is targeted towards the mobile workforce
who regularly use PDA's to store and transfer information.
Mitel 5240 IP Phone is an
advanced IP device that leverages the power of the converged network to
enable the enterprise user to improve efficiency at the desktop. The 5240 IP
Phone is dual port with a 320 x 240 HTML display, enabling cursor-based
access to features and applications enabled by Mitel Integrated
Communications Platforms (ICPs). Some examples of these are Visual
Voicemail, Integrated Call Logs, Web browsing, XML and PDA integration. (The

recent review of IP Phones.)
The 5240 IP Phone is targeted towards knowledge workers
who require constant, real-time desktop access to advanced applications,
services and information.
Mitel 5550 IP Console is an
advanced PC-based console and administration application with a highly
intuitive Graphical User Interface (GUI) that includes screen-based call
status and call handling prompts, plus telephony keypad and dual
handset/headset jacks for fast, efficient attendant call handling on Mitel
3300 Integrated Communications Platform (ICP).
The 5550 IP Console is targeted towards enterprise
attendants requiring fast and easy access to call processing functionality.
Mitel 5310 IP Conference Unit
provides full duplex, advanced IP conferencing through sophisticated
acoustic beamforming technology. With this new technology a microphone array
focuses on the party speaking, virtually eliminating all ambient room noise
and sidebar conversations. Highly intuitive to use, the 5310 IP Conference
Unit clips, connect directly on to the Mitel 5220 IP Phone enabling the user
to manage the conference through familiar telephony controls.
The 5310 IP Conference Unit is compatible with the Mitel
3100, 3300 and SX-200 Integrated Communications Platforms (ICP) and is
designed for larger meeting rooms up to 20' x 30'.
The 5310 IP Conference Unit also supports multimedia
capabilities through the Mitel Video Conferencing Solution, enabling
multimedia conferencing through the "touch of a button" on a 5220 IP Phone.
The Mitel 5412 and 5448 12- and
48-button Programmable Key Modules extend the capabilities of the Mitel 5220
IP Phone with additional buttons and LED indicators. With these expansion
modules, you can easily add 12 or 48 or up to 96 buttons to the existing 14
buttons of the 5220 IP Phone. An optional IP Interface Module added to a
5220 IP Phone allows the 5412 12-button Programmable Key Module or the 5448
48-button PKM to be easily connected to the IP phone, without the
requirement for an additional LAN port.
These 12, 48 or 96 additional personal keys can be
programmed as feature keys, speedcall keys, Direct Station Select keys, or
line appearance keys. Each key has a Line Status Indicator that works the
same way as those on the associated telephone. The additional keys can be
easily programmed through the telephone.
