If
you're looking for a mobile and flexible training platform that can fulfill your
computer and application training needs, look no further! The HP
NetEducation Center is an entirely new educational concept. The system which
is ready for operation at the press of a key opens new possibilities of varying
and flexible learning and means a substantial progress for instructor and
students. The HP NetEducation Center turns any room with a standard
electrical outlet into a training room at the press of a single button, enabling
the instructor to start teaching within seconds, without the need of plugging in
cables or adjusting settings.
The
complete package of notebooks, projector, laser printer and Wireless-LAN
technology enables the user to play DVD's through the projector, to get an easy
access on the teaching materials and to have the possibilities of wireless
printing. The locking roll-fronted cabinet of the HP NetEducation Center is the
first step to bring groundbreaking and easy to use technology into every
classroom. The roll-fronted cabinet can immediately be used anywhere, is
child's play to use and space-saving.
The
HP NetEducation Center consists of one multi-tasking roll-fronted cabinet which
is equipped with a complete notebook network. The basic configuration of the
cabinet is 1 teacher notebook and 6 student notebooks (can be
expanded to at most 20 student notebooks), one HP Laser printer, one
optional HP projector and the Wireless-LAN Network management. All
units are already connected to each other by Wireless LAN. Power supply can be
obtained for the whole system including all notebooks by only one cable. By
pressing a single button you have the ability to activate the HP NetEducation
Center, including internet access, printer and all other functions.
The
students' notebooks are placed on removable tablets with integrated power pack
and can be activated either by accumulator without tablet or by external power
supply with tablet. After class, the students put their notebooks back and
connect them with the power supply of the roll-fronted cabinet for automatic
charging.
In the network the teacher's notebook can play the role of the
server and the network administrator e.g. enabling internet access and the
possibility of controlling the content of each student's screen individually. In
addition the teacher's notebook can be used to control the projector, e.g. to
play a DVD, to instruct students on how to use websites or to demonstrate
teaching material.
The basic configuration of the NetEducation Center is 1
instructor notebook and 6 student notebooks. Extended configuration
possible up to 20 student notebooks. It is recommended to operate
with thin and light notebooks of the HP/Compaq nx5000 series with
integrated Wireless LAN. They offer the most actual technology in
portable Thin-and-Light-Design and are highly suitable for an
interactive lesson in the mobile classroom.
By Wireless-LAN functionality, students can get a
wireless access to the instructor notebook as well as to the Internet
and they can send print orders to the HP LaserJet. All types of the HP/Compaq nx5000 notebooks are equipped with Windows XP Pro.

* The HP NetEducation Center can be equipped with HP
notebooks of your choice. We specifically recommend notebooks with
integrated Wireless LAN. Only in this case, unrestricted working can
be granted. Furthermore, the port replicators of intructor and student
notebook should be compatible.
