Daniel has founded 3
technology companies in the last ten years - an ISP, an e-commerce
company, and VNS, a network integration firm. He has also provided consulting services to
some of the world's largest companies while serving as a senior consultant
with Compaq Computer.
Daniel previously served as an
Enterprise Consultant for Compaq Computer's Enterprise Consulting Services
group, an elite group of 80 people worldwide, providing consulting
services to some of Compaq's largest enterprise accounts throughout the
US. Daniel has extensive experience with Compaq's high-end ProLiant systems. Past clients have included Microsoft, Albertson's,
PG&E, Pac Bell (SBC), Trend Micro and Dishnet.
Prior to that, Daniel served
as Project manager for Fresno County Office of Education where he designed
and deployed FCOEnet, a 6,000 square mile frame relay network to provide
county schools with Internet access. During this time he also acted as
LAN/WAN manager. Daniel also founded, and later sold ValleyNet Communications,
now known as ProtoSource Network (NASDAQ: PSCO), and internet media
company SonicSource
Corporation.
A graduate of CSU, Fresno with
a BA in Telecommunications, he speaks Japanese, and is a Microsoft
Certified Systems Engineer, Citrix Certified Administrator as well as HP/Compaq ASE certified. His background
also includes radio and television production at KSEE and KNAX as well as
live entertainment for Tokyo Disneyland (yes, he speaks Japanese). His hobbies include motocross,
motocross, and more motocross. Daniel has lived in Fresno since 1988.
Noi Duffy
President & CFO
Noi co-founded ValleyNet
Communications in 1994 with husband, Daniel Duffy, serving as office
manager and customer service manager. Served as office manager and
sales manager for Lightspeed Net, a regional ISP. Noi also managed state tax
bond application process for AHDC, a real estate developer.
Noi is a
graduate of CSU, Fresno with a BS in Biology. Her hobbies include
cooking, gardening, and her goal is "to climb Halfdome" (Yosemite).

Thomas C. McGowan -
President and CEO, Automated Office Systems
Mr. McGowan is currently the
President/CEO and owner of Automated Office Sytems. The company is a
leading provider of image technology solutions in Central California,
providing sales, support and service for network-based copiers, faxes and
printers. He is active locally in several organizations: as the past
chair of the Sid Craig School of Business, vice-president of Tree Fresno, as a member of the CSU Fresno
Business Advisory Council, Fresno Rotary member, Director of the Fresno
Business Council, and is the past president of the Copier Dealers
Association. Mr. McGowan founded A.O.S. in 1977, and has an MBA from
Northwestern University.
Gary Renner - Vice President,
County Bank
Mr. Renner has an extensive
management and banking background spanning 27 years, including large corporate
lending to high technology corporations and middle market banking. He
started three regional headquarters operations for major California banks in
the San Francisco Bay Area and Central California. Management experience
includes senior lending officer, regional administrative officer, and Regional
Vice President/Senior Vice President.
Fred Duffy - Vice President,
Walt Disney Entertainment (Retired)
Mr. Duffy has worked for The Walt
Disney Company in various capacities since 1962. He recently retired as
Vice President, Walt Disney Entertainment East/Global Initiatives where he was
responsible for the East coast operations of Walt Disney Entertainment as well
as major product planning and product development strategies for Disney theme
park sites worldwide.
Bill Wax - Vice President,
Integrationware
Bill has over 15 years experience in the software
industry, specializing in client/server and browser/server
technologies. Mr. Wax has held several positions in the
areas of product marketing and sales administration with Wallace Computer
Services and earned his BA in marketing from Texas Christian University
(1989), and his MBA with a concentration in operations from Loyola
University in Chicago (1997).
Buddy Marini - President,
International Digital Artists
International Digital Artists is an
international entertainment management and production company, specializing in
Japanese production. Mr. Marini has established relationships with major
record distributors and entertainment companies in Japan and has previously
worked with N2K (now part of CDnow) to facilitate entry into the Japanese
market.
