History

Valley Network Solutions (VNS) started humbly with three clients in 1996, operating from a home office.  Our first office was a small room with a couple of computers, a printer, a couple of servers, and of course, Mt. Dew in the refrigerator.  Over the years, we have continually reinvested in the company and the people to make VNS the leading network integrator (VAR) in Central California.  Today, VNS is a fast-growing company with a diverse team of extremely talented individuals, each of whom are strong generalists, with a specialization skillset to back that up. 

The company was founded by Daniel and Noi Duffy, after creating and later selling ValleyNet Communications, Fresno's second Internet Service Provider (NASD: PSCO).  Daniel is also a former Enterprise Systems Consultant from Compaq Computer (now part of HP) and has provided consulting services to some of the world's largest companies, including Microsoft, Bank of America, Albertson's and Compaq. 

Collectively, we have the ability to provide clients in Central California with truly professional, enterprise class solutions which have typically not been available locally, without securing the services of Silicon Valley companies.  Although we do occasionally provide services to companies outside this geographic area, we are focused on Fresno and the Central Valley, and believe strongly in reinvesting in the community which has provided us with such tremendous opportunities for growth.

VNS is a member of the Fresno and Clovis Chambers of Commerce, the Central Valley Better Business Bureau and BBB OnLine.  We are a member of CompTIA, ASCII, Ingram Micro NSN, and the Society for Information Management (SIM), Central Calfornia Chapter.  Lastly, VNS founded the Valley Cisco Users' Group (VCUG) and hosts the site.

Local Focus

VNS is locally owned and operated and every one of our employees is a native of this region, or a transplant who's made Fresno a destination, not a "pit-stop".  When you work with VNS, you'll find that you're working with people who go to your schools and churches, shop at your stores, and pay taxes in your community.  That means that every dollar you spend with VNS stays here.  Unlike many of our larger, out of town competitors, our offices are in the valley, and that means that we reinvest in our own economy - not the Bay Area, another state.  Although this may not be a primary reason to do business with VNS, we feel that it's relevant and frequently overlooked when we can provide the same product pricing and levels of service that our out of town competitors do. 

And we urge you to look closely at what you'll actually get when you consider an out-of-town outfit - many times their "Fresno office" is nothing more than a shingle and a PO box with perhaps a single sales rep working from their home, or a larger, well-funded firm that rolls into the valley with a splash, and 5 years later, is gone.  We've seen many of them come and go over the years that we've lived and worked here and we are here for the long haul, and locally owned / operated.  It's worth considering what that means to you, from a support perspective after you've bought the products.  We'll still be here, long after the latest, greatest, cheapest or glitziest guys roll in with their grand stories.  We've seen many companies come in and promise the world, then disappear after they get the sale, and inevitably, we get the call, pick up the pieces, and we work hard to earn the trust, loyalty, and respect of a new customer.  We won't always be the cheapest and we will make mistakes, but we will own up to them when we do, and work hard to make things right if a mistake is made - we will be honest in our work with you, and have integrity in what we do, so that we can earn your trust, and your business.   And we employ many people with families in this community, many of which have moved here from larger areas, like us, because of the numerous advantages they see in this region.

Probably most telling though is to simply consider our name - Valley Network Solutions was a name that was developed after much thought and says it all.  We are committed to being the best at what we do, and we are committed to the Valley.

Valley Network Solutions has demonstrated abilities in numerous areas of the computer, networking and telecommunications industries.  Our staff members' extensive certifications are testimony to this.  In fact, we have more local employees with industry-accepted certifications than anyone else in the valley, and more MCSEs than anyone else in a 100+ mile radius.  If you look closely at our largest competitors, you'll find that although they appear to have higher qualifications, most of the time they are grandfathered in via their employees in other cities and even states, but that they frequently have little, if any local talent here in the Central San Joaquin Valley.  We do!  Here are a few of the certifications we collectively hold:
